Centaur launches a brand new exhibition concept for the UK marketing
industry today: Marketing Week Live.
Taking place at Olympia’s Grand Hall in London from 30 June–1
July 2009, Marketing Week Live is an extension of Centaur Media’s
market-leading publication Marketing Week. The event will be the first in the
UK to integrate multiple marketing disciplines and provide the nation’s
marketing community with a single destination event for online marketing, data
marketing, research and in-store marketing activity.
Bringing together three well-established
and independently strong exhibition brands - Online Marketing Show, Insight
Show and In-Store Show – and debuting the launch of a brand new exhibition for
the data marketing community – The Data Marketing Show - Marketing Week Live
will showcase marketing excellence in the UK and provide an unrivalled
networking forum for thousands of
marketing professionals.
The four highly
focused exhibitions will flank the Centre Stage, which sits at the heart of
Marketing Week Live and provides a platform for the very essence of integrated
marketing to be debated and challenged by captivating and influential industry
leaders, the likes of which are unlikely to have been seen at marketing related
exhibitions in the UK
before.
“The launch of Marketing Week Live follows
extensive independent research that shows quite clearly the increasing
convergence and integration of job functions into the responsibilities of
today’s marketer, who is now expected to
integrate traditionally separate disciplines to get the best results,”
explained Mike Sherrard, Director of Business to Business Exhibitions, Centaur.
“Marketing Week
Live is facilitating this revolution by providing those marketing professionals
with a unique platform for knowledge and debate of four diverse but overlapping
marketing disciplines. With four exhibitions and the Centre Stage taking place
in one venue at one time, Marketing Week Live also ensures marketers make best use
of their time.”
To reflect the convergence, the event is
unequivocally supported by Marketing Week and its sister publications New Media
Age, In-Store Magazine, Precision Marketing and Data Strategy.
Stuart Smith,
Editor, Marketing Week: “Given the increasing pressure to operate a
multi-disciplined marketing strategy, today’s marketer has become time-strapped
and knowledge-hungry. Marketing Week Live – which we expect to embody the
content, credibility and spirit that has made Marketing Week the UK’s leading
magazine for marketing professionals – will deal with these contemporary
problems. Providing the marketing community with access to four exhibitions and
four lots of suppliers, products, seminars and networking opportunities under
one roof is exactly what the industry needs. Marketing Week is pleased to be
associated with such a pioneering initiative.”
Michael Nutley, Editor in Chief, New Media
Age: "New Media Age and the Online Marketing Show are delighted to be a
key part of Marketing Week Live. The Online Marketing Show has gone from
strength to strength over the last four years by putting the quality of the
programme and the speakers at the heart of the show and we intend to continue
this in 2009. By bringing four great marketing events together we can show how
digital has crossed boundaries into the mainstream and really give marketers a
360 degree view".
Matthew Valentine, Editor, In-Store:
“Marketing Week Live is, quite simply, an essential event for anybody involved
in retail marketing. As the economy enters one of the most challenging periods
we have seen in decades it is essential for all marketing professionals to be
as well-briefed as they can possibly be on marketing in every form.
Adaptability and flexibility will be key for those who plan to prosper during
these difficult times. For one event to offer the combined knowledge of
Centaur’s marketing titles is a timely reminder of the importance of taking an
integrated approach. Consumers don’t specialise and, increasingly, retail
marketers can’t afford to either.”
Mark Choueke, Editor, Precision Marketing:
“Centaur boasts a range of media brands that marketing industry professionals
in every corner of the sector trust and associate themselves with and I’m
thrilled to have Precision Marketing as one of four brands involved. With
today’s ‘effective marketers’ fulfilling a multi-functional and integrated role
spanning direct, digital and data, the data marketing seminar programme will be
an essential visit for every visitor during the two day show.”
